About this product

Crossover activo configurable

DN800 — Configurable Active Crossover

The DN800 is a 1U analogue active crossover that reconfigures via plug-in filter cards to suit the system architecture at hand. A single chassis covers four-input two-way, two-input three-way and two-input four-way configurations, making it adaptable to bi-amped, tri-amped and four-way loudspeaker systems without committing to a topology at purchase.

Filter Architecture

Interchangeable plug-in filter cards set the frequency and slope characteristics of each crossover point. The cards offer 12, 18 or 24 dB/octave slopes with a choice of Linkwitz-Riley, Butterworth or Bessel responses — covering the standard alignments demanded by professional loudspeaker design. Each band has its own adjustable VCA limiter with time constants optimised for the frequency range that band covers, protecting drivers without audibly limiting programme material.

Input Protection and Gain Structure

All inputs pass through an independent band-limiting filter section providing 18 dB/octave high-pass at 30 Hz and 18 dB/octave low-pass at 30 kHz, protecting downstream electronics from subsonic and ultrasonic content. Adjustable make-up gain after the crossover filters, with a range from -6 dB to +12 dB, matches each band to the power amplifier input it drives.

Application

Touring PA crossovers, fixed installations, broadcast monitoring systems and any context requiring reconfigurable analogue crossover with per-band driver protection.
