What is it, and why do I need it?
The Preset Editor is a Microsoft Excel-based spreadsheet that enables you to read and write Preset Memories to and from a Klark Teknik DN9848. The spreadsheet has a maximum of 99 Preset Memories, selected from a drop-down list on the toolbar. It is possible to validate the data on a sheet before loading it into the unit, or even if no unit is present.
Version 3.06 provides the following key features:
1. Revised communications strategy to allow USB operation and COM port selection
2. Windows XP compatibility
3. Selective control over locking and hiding of parameters in presets
4. Improved user interface with custom toolbar
5. All channel addresses on the network are now supported.
6. Minor bug fixes to the ‘Save As…’ function
7. Security certificate updated to 2005.

Pentium 266 MHz
32 Mbytes RAM
800x600 256 colour display
8 Mbytes free disk space
Windows 98, NT4, 2000 or XP
Microsoft Excel 9.0.2182 or later (the `Office 2000' version)
Cable connection between a serial port and the device to be controlled (this cable is supplied with the DN9848).
