Votown All-Stars fundraise with Midas and Klark Teknik
A special event took place in Volendam, Holland when the “Votown Allstars” held a fundraising concert to support local football club, FC Volendam, at Volendam Stadion on June 21, 2009.
The Votown Allstars comprise popular artists Jan Smit, Nick & Simon, and 3JS, who decided to support FC Volendam as their main sponsor. This unique sponsorship resulted in a huge concert with 100 percent of the fundraising revenues from the event going to FC Volendam.
Rental company Triple Showtechniek used their Midas XL8 at front of house and the PRO6 on monitors running on one time lined network via Ethernet and fibre. A Klark Teknik DN9696 High Resolution Audio Recorder was used to provide a virtual sound check to ensure that the audio was clean and intelligible in every corner of the stadium.
Judging by the smiles, both Marc Pardon, FOH engineer, and Donoven “Don” Kemper, monitor engineer, were both extremely pleased with the audio performance and ease of use of both the XL8 and PRO6. The result was a thoroughly enjoyable event for everyone involved.
